OUR PROGRAM
Casa del Carmen Preschool Academy provides high-quality early childhood education for children ages 3 to 5 years old. We proudly offer two tuition-free programs:
- PreK Counts – funded by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
- PHLpreK – funded by the City of Philadelphia
These programs run Monday through Friday from 8:30am-4:00pm, from September to June, and are completely free for eligible families.
To support working parents, we also accept Early Learning Resource Center (ELRC-18) subsidies for before and after care, which are available:
- Before care: 7:30 AM – 8:30 AM
- Preschool program: 8:30 AM – 4:00 PM
- After care: 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM
Curriculum
Our preschool offers a fun, dynamic, and developmentally appropriate learning experience every day. We use the Creative Curriculum, a research-based approach that encourages hands-on exploration and learning through play. Our experienced and caring staff work closely with each child to ensure they are well-prepared for kindergarten and beyond.
Children also enjoy access to multiple on-site play areas, providing safe and engaging spaces for physical activity and social development.

NUTRITIOUS MEALS EVERY DAY
At Casa del Carmen Preschool Academy, we understand that healthy meals are essential to a child’s growth, development, and ability to learn. That’s why we provide breakfast, lunch, and an afternoon snack daily to all enrolled children.
Meals are provided through Nutritional Development Services of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia in partnership with the U.S. Department of Agriculture, ensuring that every child receives well-balanced, nutritious options that meet federal guidelines.
Our meal program supports children’s physical well-being while reinforcing healthy eating habits that last a lifetime.
